AdminCavmanJoe should write a book about the Island; I would buy it even if it sucked, and I have a creeping suspicion that it would be a literary masterpiece. He is probably already working on something of the type in secret...
In fact Improbable Island is a non-canon spinoff of a novel I still haven't finished, whose plot can be summed up as "Girl meets Forklift."
A very close friend of mine wrote some hardcore lesbian porn, if you're interested. Amazon, Smashwords.
Elsewhere is fine - funding the publishing isn't an issue because I'd do it through Kindle and Createspace, both are free. if anybody wants to talk to me about it they can f ind me at rohvannyn (at) gmail.com.

Would anyone be interested if I wrote a book about Improbable Island, or a story set in Improbable Island, or maybe even gave a call out for people to write fanfic about Improbable Island, bound it into a collection, possibly illustrated it, published it, then gave CMJ a cut of the profits?
I think it could be cool to have Improbable Island: The Book. If anybody's interested, or if this is an okay idea, or if it isn't, feel free to respond. I promise not to throw chicken heads.
I'm not likely to write anything new for you, but you're welcome to crib anything that I've put in the wiki. There's some stuff on Squats in there in particular that you might like.
CNJ willing, of course.
An illustrated guide, kind of like a hitchhikers guide to the Island. The Improbable Survival Guide? With the map, history of the Island, outposts, and the Improbable world they're all a part of. Notable land marks, prominent players, etc. It could be reworked, added on to and reissued periodically, or as the Island grows. I'd be willing to help.
Funny I've had the same idea to write up a book about the island. I was going to do it through one of my characters viewpoints.. Just stil an idea though... To many RL things to birth into reality though at the moment.
