Those things that you put after a grave accent (that is what it is, isn't it?)
I know that `w reads out as the readers weapon. Being able to have things like this which are reader specific is a nice touch in room descriptions. But that's the only one I can find. Are there any others that anyone knows of? In particular, is there one for the readers name?

Inasfar as I know, that's the only one. No `a for armor. The only other place in which I encounter these sorts of things is in the Taunt and Master Editors, where I can call the player's name, armour and weapon, pronouns (objective, subjective, possessive), or the monster/Master's weapon and name.

Buuut, they aren't hard-coded into our text stuff. That we've got `w at all is a holdover from the LoGD engine.

The tgw is very useful. I also got the background colour code for if you want to draft things in Word, or similar, and see how it'll look: hex C9B18B, RGB 201,177,139.

If you look carefully, the background for the "Leather" theme is not all one colour, but a subtly shaded image. The range of tone (sampled in Photoshop) is roughly this:

Lightest: hex CFB994 RGB 207,185,144
Darkest: hex BD9D76 RGB 189,157,118

(And, sorry -- after screen capture and conversion to jpg, that image is not entirely accurate! but it does demonstrate that there is quite a bit of difference from one part of the page to another.) The C9B18B colour is a nice average that will give an approximate idea, though.

This is just to sayyy:

The font tags have a wretched tendency to Fuck Shit Up. I catch people via Distract sometimes to tell them about this and ask them not to use said font tags. I am now catching people via Enquirer to cordially ask them to do the same.

Aye - the font tags are a Whoops-Did-I-Leave-That-In half-completed feature, and shouldn't be used. When I rewrite the appoencode features (sometime soon), all these problems will go away. Smile

Not text codes, as such, but this might be another useful reference:
