You all know Akinator, right? Of course you do.

http://en.akinator.com/

Akinator is a genius and this asshole will always guess whichever character you're thinking of pretty much no matter what. Unless you pick someone very obscure, of course. This is because his knowledgebase is user-generated, and he's been around for years, and for all that time people have been submitting information, making him smarter. Stronger. Hateful. He's played our silly mortal games for too long and some day he will have his revenge, Godlike power coursing through his veins and thunder in his eyes.

Today is not that day.

Let's play a game: try to answer the questions according to your character, and by preference, tell him the character is from a video game, a book, a TV series, or a cartoon. Let's see what kind of characters we've all created.

Here is my result, answering honestly for my character, Claude, except saying yes to "Is your character from a TV series?"

I am unsure how to feel about this.

I got "The Apprentice" from the game "Orcs Must Die". I own that game, but I haven't played it yet. (Steam sale.) I'll report back how accurate that is 6 months from now when I actually get around to playing it.

Apparently Buddleia is Littlepip from Fallout:Equestria.

Googling has not enlightened me much. A character from a crossover fanfic between two things I'm not terribly interested in, so ... eh. Epic long wiki page was far too epic long for me to read.

That is the exact same guy I got. In six months I'm gonna need a pretty vivid description from you.

After a while, I got "The Nameless One" from "Planetscape: Torment". With whom I am also not familiar.

I got Havelock Vetinari from Terry Pratchett's Discworld, which pleased me immensely.

And then...

Acker-thingy-whatisname asked 60 something questions, to come up with Plato, then Thales and then (after a re-start because it froze/hung/seized/died) Socrates. Close I guess, in that they're all ancient Greeks.

When I submitted the name Daedalus I got the reply: "Bravo ! You have defeated me !"

yay. woot. whatever.

I hadn't seen it before. It's pretty much a clone of a circa 1970's (and possibly earlier for all I know) party game called "20 questions", which worked much the same way, without using the internet, because the innermerwebby didn't exist.

Yes kiddies, we used to talk to each other mainly "IRL" back then!

le sigh.

The lunatics are taking over the asylum! Come with?

Big Su Skronky (from a book) was Queen Mab - a mythical fairy mentioned in Romeo and Juliet. So there you have it. Sewage Skronky - muse for one of the greatest romances ever. Not what I'd have though of myself.

Alexander Quandle (likewise, from a book) gave me Hagrid from Harry Potter, only marginally closer.

Answered the first Is Your Character Dead? with YES and got some anime chick I've never heard of.

Answered the second Is Your Character Dead? with NO and got another, different anime chick I've never heard of.

He has not yet asked me IS YOUR CHARACTER A GHOST AND/OR AN AMBULATORY MEMORY or even CAN YOUR CHARACTER CONTROL MURPHY'S LAW, so I do not think Akinator has yet acquired the means by which to properly categorize my scruffy angry lady.

I got "Your imaginary friend"

When I said No, and continued...eventually it gave me
"Your RPG Character"

...never actually got to a character. Though maybe if I say "Yes" to "Is your character from a cartoon...."

Answering questions maybe differently? I said "No" to "Your RPG Character" and got "Kite of the Azure Flames" (From .//hack)

Isn't sanity just a one-trick pony anyway? All you get is one trick: rational thinking. But when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, the sky's the limit.

I was thinking of Dr. Peter Venkman and Akinator guessed Dr. Raymond "Ray" Stantz. I was thinking of Dr. Elizabeth Shaw and Akinator guessed Ripley. So, yeah. Close enough I guess.

Through a couple different attempts, I got:
Miss Piggy
Princess Fiona
Elin from "Tera" (apparently a bunny girl?)
Ayn from "Unlight" (apparently a fox girl or something?)

I think I'll have to go with Miss Piggy here.

Kite... has an Azure title?

Did he get it in the GU series?

God, I love Kite. I miss him so much.
