Funny thing is, looking at the forum at the moment, it seems like there's a lot of gripes. They're not really gripes - more attempts at sandpapering away a few perceived rough edges. So that's okay, then.

Nonetheless, I think it's time I said 'thank you'.

Thank you for all of your hard work, creativity and thought. S2 is shaping up to be a much better game than S1. Stern and the meat are super ideas and I know you're working at introducing more super ideas.

I'm looking forward to having a go at coding something at some point in the future. I'm looking forward to getting involved with more plots and ideas. I'm... goddamnit... looking forward to the future again.

Cheers, Dan

UB

bump
but only because one thread can only have so much gushing in it Wink
and Bernard basically covered it all.

except:
i've discovered that a life without vending is still a pretty good life and makes the game more challenging in a good sort of way

Cheers on a Drive Kill!

The inhabitants of Improbable Central are busy erecting a statue for their newest hero, Admin CavemanJoe on the only statue pedestal around. The remains of the statue that had stood there before lie in such ruins around the pedestal that it is no longer recognizable.

Yes Dan, you've done a great job with Season 2. The new features here and still coming are fantastic, and still everything keeps its charm and massive humor throughout. Thank you, sir, for making such a damn fun game.

Thank you Dan.
For taking the time to create this wonderful game.
I stumbled onto season one about a year and have been hooked ever since.
From the bulldozers to the typo gremlins I loved every moment.
(Except the times when a reward hopper blows me up.)
Thank you Dan.
From all of us to you

I make the many models of a mutant individual. To make them I use vegetables, animals, and minerals. From robot bugs to zombie bears to many singing barnacles.

Aw, shucks. Oops!

Thanks for all your lovely donations. Smile If it carries on like this, I might actually be able to pull this off! Mr. Green

People seldom tell you when you're doing something right, but for every player who says "Here's a bug" or "Here's a gripe," there are ten players saying "Wow, this works well" and there are a hundred things in the game that are working smoothly. I've been impressed by how extensively the game infrastructure has been revamped and is running with only tiny hiccups needing to be burped out. Season 2 is a really nice piece of work!

Wow, just what is on that banner ad of yours? It must be great, there's like a bazillion new players on constantly.

What Epaphus said is right, but missing something. This game is inspirational. In many games, I'd think 'Not bad, quite enjoying it.' But here, I see an entire world, and I think 'Wow!' I start seeing it in my head, and think 'It could have this! and this! and maybe that!' Then Dan comes along and adds something vastly better than anything I'd imagined. If anything I've said sounds like a gripe, then it's certainly not meant to be. It's just a result of the inspirational nature of the game. I'm loving it.
