I don't know where the gifting furniture feature is in the queue, but it seems to me that if folks could also deposit cigs at a building site for purposes of the owner buying furniture, and buying keys for others on behalf of the house, that would be lovely.
Potentially, that could be conceived of as game imbalancing, I suppose, in that the owner would have a cig bank at their disposal.
But at upper DK levels, the problem is really where to spend cigs: After one has a sweet mount, big backpack and bandoleer, there's not much left to do, except rent kits.
Seems to me the core code of the shed ought/could be used for this.
But WTF do I know?
All best,
~CTP
Nah, I don't think so. Not any time soon, anyway. A far more interesting and better (although harder) solution would be to make more things for players to spend their cigs on; but right now, I've got enough new features lined up and in progress.
(the new Hunter's Lodge is coming along nicely!)
(also Emily's thing - she's actually writing the content before I have the engine in place! So this isn't gonna turn into another Mount Accessories module, with a wonderful engine and no content! Woo!)
Fair enough:
How is the furniture gifting engine coming along then?
~CTP
It isn't. I've got other things to do first, mate.
Oh, okay. Thanks for the status update. That will impact some go-forward strategy then.

It's a paradigm shift, that's fer sure. I'm gonna go ahead and say that this will result in accelerated emergence of high-maturity behaviors as we move forward into a period of high-impact ideation.

Well, for my part, it will certainly impact my plans to upscale organic growth through brand exposure to discrete vertical audiences utilizing a viral communications strategy across a multitude of robust social media platforms.

Very sad, but this is how many (of us) geeks show off. *grin*

I'd think inviting Phyllis to, or to host, a teaparty is... not terribly beneficial for one's continued staying-in-one-living-piece.
(I mean, sherry-spiked russian black tea and red wine will put a new meaning to the term of "smashing-split-head-from-wall-to-wall headache"?)
There is no higher rate of entropy in nature than what becomes of a thread on the Forum of Filth.
Love it.
