Apple's just announced their Successor to Snow Leopard... the new Lion OS.
Really, they're probably going to give you Windows ME. Sneaky Bastards.

I ran a ME. FOR TEN BLOODY YEARS. A couple weeks after S2 started, a still old-BUT NOT MILLENNIUM EDITION, computer was donated to me.
Nobody should have to suffer through that.
Nobodyyyyyy.

Oh, don't doubt it. I ran the fucker into the ground. With an incredible amount of anger and fury.
I also got really good at Ctrl + Alt + Deleting. PROFESSIONAL CTRL ALT DELETER, RIGHT HERE.
Other people had to keep me from smashing it in with a baseball bat after I got the new one, which still sucks.

Sigh I'd looooovvvvvvvvvve tooooooo - BUT.....
I gots responsibilities for a few dozen servers, mostly unix, a few linux (NO WINDOWS SERVERS bwaaaahahaha), and something approaching 89-90,000 customers. Gots to be able to vpn/telnet/ssh into any of those servers, from anywhere, at anytime, via whatever connection available - broadband, wireless, dialup, 3g, whatever. Last time I messed with linux on a laptop (admittedly, been a couple years), that capability really wasn't there.
Is it there yet?

I'm seriously considering running Linux as a secondary. I do have 2.2 Tb of HDD space...

From my understanding, yes. There's plenty of programs you can find for telnet/ssh, and I'm pretty sure VPN works out-of-the-box with an Ubuntu install. You can always get a live CD of ubuntu to check out the last part - run the OS straight off the CD and test it.

I've got Ubuntu lucid. It works fine - I got when my Windows XP broke in the summer. My only regret is some computer games don't work under wine.
