Twice in two days I have lost a cigarette by aiming just a little inaccurately with the touchy interface on my phone. I was trying to select Travel. I'm new enough that cigarettes are still precious.
I hope it would be an easy coding task to add a confirmation request.
Thanks!
This fucking thing's been on my list since the dawn of time. See, I keep having ideas about better ways to do it, and going "Maybe we can do a two-hotkey verification thing that won't refresh the page," and then never getting around to actually doing it, but maybe it's time to backport S3's nav system into S2 and do the bloody hotkey link thing already, yikes.
Or, y'know, just put in a confirmation page.
Bumping it up the priorities list...
This is getting really old. I'm really trying to accumulate cigarettes for an important purchase, and I keep losing them to the finger-paint interface.
Adding my voice here in favour of a simple confirmation page. It would be a big crowd-pleaser.
The game has changed a lot since the early days. Used to be, certain players would even smoke for the buff often enough to trigger the addiction logic! That doesn't happen now. There are enough other buffs in the game that intentional smoking is reserved for rare emergencies. A confirmation page won't inconvenience anyone.
And many more players are playing from touch screens now, on phones and tablets. Touch screens are inherently less precise, making the chances of accident much higher than when people only used a keyboard or mouse. The cries of "AAARRGH!" are being heard more often!

Or just move it below Travel with an additional blank line separating them. Just to space it away from other actions.
Travel
Smoke
Simple code change and no added page. At least until you have time to code for the confirmation page.
Fuck it, done. Perfect is the enemy of good.
Hi Joe!
Good job with finally getting this done! Just a question/suggestion.
Is it possible to separate a mouse click and a hotkey? If it is, I think it MAY be better to only have the confirmation when someone Clicks on Have a Smoke. Cause that might be an accident. But actually pressing the "!" key clearly states he wants to endanger his lungs.
