This is going to be an interesting list.
The Arkells, Avantasia, Boom Boom Satellites, Cage The Elephant, City and Colour, Coheed and Cambria, Flogging Molly, The Real McKenzies, Foo Fighters, Dropkick Murphys, Great Big Sea, Joel Plaskett, and to finish the list off, Wolfmother.

Wouldn't know where to start with what I like. I guess everything from Ry Cooder to Mozart with a huge dollop of underground UK funky house.
Right now (in the car) I'm enjoying revisiting Black Crowes and Peal Jam.

Lessee here... Mainly Rock'n'Roll, with some country, electronica and techno/trance music. I'll pretty much listen to anything though.*
*Even if it's really terrible. I have no taste, I suppose.
Anyone wanna listen to the Dutch version of the Barbie song?

Oh, yes, definately. Not counting 'mobile phone vids' of shows, there's a lot of realy great stuff that naver makes it there, mostly for lack of an official video.

Yeah, but there's a lot of people who throw up "videos" of a song, with the album art, or a collage of band photos or whatever.

I'm afraid Youtube has it.

Yes, Virginia - there IS music outside of YouTube. *grin*
Thank you.

Any artist that is aware of how important fans are to their success and who is aware of internet will have either a myspace page, a youtube channel or their own website, where you can listen their songs for free. Or rather, at least one of those things. I mean, Jill Sobule* is even on TED.
Some bands who get really pissed off with their record labels will even give their albums out for free, like Nine Inch Nails. Even Jill did something similar, if I remember right.
Youtube's just,... Well, it's for us lazy people. If you want to hear more than one band, neither myspace nor a personal webpage are good for that. So you go for something that can give you more artists. Spotify (or despotify, depending on your preferences), Last.fm, grooveshark** ,... will all offer a much better selection of music than youtube, but they don't have the pretty moving pictures which mesmerize all normal humans. Also, with youtube it's a lot easier to share music, which is the point of this thread, if I understand right, along with the special youtube channel. I honestly can't think of a better outlet to share music.
Anyway, a few more songs to add to the list. There will be more to come, I just need to remember what else I like.
Cypress Hill-What's Your Number
Prozac+ - Acida
Tre allegri ragazzi morti - Il mondo prima
Kosheen - Harder
Another Chance Hed Kandi
* Jill would have goone on my list as well, but it was already in the thread, so I left her out. She's a pretty good artist.
** grooveshark could easily be my best pick, if it weren't for a flash GUI

First off, sorry for the necromancy, but ten years of running a forum has made me twitch uncontrollably any time I start a new thread on an existing topic *anywhere*.
Secondly, I have this Improbable Island playlist I've been editing for a while now, and I thought I'd share the latest pieces.
Because oh my goodness.
Family Force Five
"Zombie"
"Crank it Like a Chainsaw"
Steam Powered Giraffe
"Automatonic Electronic Harmonic"
Lastly, there hasn't been a song dedicated to our illustrious Caveman on my list... until now.
Professor Elemental
"Cup of Brown Joy"
You're welcome!
"Ain't nothin' left to do but smile, smile, smile."
-The Grateful Dead

BRODYQUEST
It's the best feelgood song evereverever!
I even listen to it when I am not on Island. I clean, and do chores to this song.
I must be tired because there's no way I should be finding this as funny as I am.
The music I listen to is like this. Or maybe like this.
Two years later, Brodyquest is still hilarious.
Anyway, I recently 'found' (read: they're quite popular and I live under a rock) Imagine Dragons. I love a lot of their stuff.
