The clocks are going forward in the UK this Sunday. Traditionally the Island goes down for an hour or so when this happens. Just thought that I'd mention it and give a little advance warning.

Good thing some very fine people (it would be fine people with how many are under Hairy Mary wouldn't it?) are watching for that to warn us!

I'd like to know that too... Suddenly everyone's logged off, but the island seems to still be up.

It is indeed the time of Clocks Go Forward here in the UK. Goodness knows why some countries do it at different times, but anyway, yup, looks like we have downtime. Any chance that we could have a big flashy notice on the login and chat pages when the server is about to go flump for whatever reasons? I was waiting for it, but it still caught me by surprise to get thrown out of a scene.

What happens to NewDay times after this? I only remember one change (From 4PM EST to 3PM EST) during the fall.

This is it! Everybody...stare at your monitor while we wait. Bring snacks. We'll have a camp out.

On top of that, people are registering new characters. That must be fun for them.

When CMJ is performing scheduled server maintenance or we're going down for a Season changeover, there's typically a countdown timer and big warning messages on every page of the Island.

@Beeps: no clue.

But I just got used to them being shifted an hour ahead! Nnnngh.

I vote that the entire world should run on one clock.

-brings in hospital food level jello to share at the waiting party-

I'd share my IV drip with you all, but I'm just on the water bags now.

...Oh God. Does this--does this mean I have to... go back to doing work?

Nooooooo

(My research paper, on the other hand, is undoubtedly thrilled that it's going to get at least an hour of attention now. Shame that it had to come to this.)

Well, hospital food isn't all THAT bad. Some of it's pretty good. When I was there, they had this key lime pie that was pretty awesome.

I'm on a "Full Liquid" diet.... the food's mighty bland.

The pudding is awesome though, but I am saving that for myself. I've eaten enough jello in the past week, I don't want to look at another cube of it again. Which is why you may have it. Big Grin
