Cheers to everyone who so graciously took the time to respond to the merch poll. Who would have guessed so many people have been laid up all cozy in their beds at night, thinking to themselves as they drift off to sleep, 'man you know what would be totally boss -- an Improbable Island keychain... yeah...'
HINT: Not me.
However I aim to please! So, here's a peek at the first couple things we're going to put up for sale.
T-SHIRT, blank mock-up -- because we are daring and have carefully studied our market. A blank shirt is what you all seem to want. COLOR OF THE SHIRT SUBJECT TO CHANGE, potentially:

MUG, which will be nicer looking than the bog standard 'i r kwafi mag' type mugs you usually find in 'feed the starving web artist' shops:

POSTER:

KEYCHAIN, with an iBomb styled keychain for release in the future. This will be made of sturdy nickel and the mock-up isn't much to look at -- nor is it at all to scale:

The t-shirts and posters will be limited runs every time. What's this mean to you? Well! It means if you fancy a design, you should move quickly -- and if you don't like one, you can wait for something you like better. The first few t-shirts will be in this vector aesthetic, the next few will be in a woodcut style, and so on. Once a design is gone, it's gone. (Should there be a violent clamoring for a reprint, we will consider. Or, if the demand for t-shirts is someday Quite Vigorous, then we'll keep a wider stock of the most popular designs.)
Things like shot glasses or sew-on patches are next up for release, but that reallllllly depends on how well this stuff does.
Hope you like 'em, guys. I've tried really hard to make things that are distinctly Of The Island and Worth Purchasing without slapping the harebrained logo on everything. Hopefully they do double duty and start conversations, too.
Things will be on preorder sometime in the near-ish future, fingers crossed and admin willing.
BARK BARK BARK.

I make the many models of a mutant individual. To make them I use vegetables, animals, and minerals. From robot bugs to zombie bears to many singing barnacles.

no condoms, tampons or toothpaste?
or specially IIsland branded packages of sugar or coffee packets?
though I can wait for the books (they were kind of boring).

Wooot!
And, can we get Improbable Island Playing Cards? With a few 1st class and 2nd class rail passes in the deck?
Edit: Ok, should have checked the spreadsheet first.

I want one of these. So badly. I imagine a spin off cartoon show, ala My Little Pony.
Oh, the magical times.
Oh dear.

Sporrans?
Perhaps more seriously ...
I can see postage to the Antipodes being an issue with the bigger stuff like T shirts ... so are there likely to be some flat/printed goods... bookmarks, calender, A4 posters kinda things?
I'm not particularly asking for those, just thinking 'cheap to post'.

I love the poster. And the keychain ideas. And the mug.
And if I could get a shirt with the same text from that mug, I would be happy for the rest of my days. Because I do not drink any conventional mug-borne morning beverages like tea and coffee when I wake up, but I definitely put on a shirt. Most days.
(The text is stacked a bit odd to my eyes, but STILL. That is an awesome layout. )
Also, I am one of those people who said BUTTONS WITH PINS and the little icon stuck up at the top of the default skin, offered in different colours for each of the default skin colours, would have me putting in some cash soon as I could scrape it up. So many potential button options you could cover a satchel. And I would.

Also agree with Rosin, please - the mug design on a T-Shirt - Oh yes!
It's not an optical illusion. It just looks like one.

Augh! I cannot view the image of the keychain mock-up because it has the dreaded two-letters in the filename my office proxy hates! "tv"! Now I must wait until I get home to view this image!
On the other hand, the t-shirt, poster, and mug all look awesome! I will definitely be looking forward to buying a mug for said office!

Posterrrrrrrrr!
And the mug's pretty okay, too.
About the shirt: I'm not sure I get it. Will it come with some sort of washable marker so that we can create our own II designs?
