Whoot! Don't exactly recall where I've seen this format/color scheme before, but I like where it is now! *grin*
Edit:
Whoops! Tried to go to My Account, and got this:
PHP Formatted Code An error has occurred:
This is being displayed as "Root Debugging" is enabled in your Geeklog configuration.
If this is a production website you must disable this option once you have resolved any issues you are investigating.
256 - Template Error: filename: file /home/improbab/public_html/enquirer/layout/improbable-enquirer/preferences/editor.thtml does not exist. @ /home/improbab/ system/classes/template. class.php line 984
array(1) {
["msg"]=>
string (118) "filename: file /home/improbab/public_html/enquirer/layout/improbable-enquirer/preferences/editor.thtml does not exist."
}
Thank you.

Very nice.
I do have one request -- for those of us stuck in Preferences Hell, could the difference between visited and non-visited links in the right-hand column of the main page please be made a lot more emphatic? It's the only clue we have to go by, when logged in.
Edit: THANK YOU! That's perfect.

Ahhh! This so nice! Now it's not such a violent switch from the game to the Enquirer. Feels a little more cohesive! I approve heartily.
But I'm getting that 'My Account' page bug too, sadly...

Thank you SO MUCH for changing it.
By the way, searching on the Wiki yields the following:
PHP Formatted Code An error has occurred:
This is being displayed as "Root Debugging" is enabled in your Geeklog configuration.
If this is a production website you must disable this option once you have resolved any issues you are investigating.

A snippet from an IM:
[19:47] Zolotisty: give it a bit.
[19:47] Ashtu: a bit of what?
[19:48] Zolotisty: time
[19:48] Zolotisty: for cmj
[19:48] Zolotisty: to fix it
[19:49] Ashtu: oh. okay.
Let us not risk further aggravation of the Zbomb.
Thank you.

Very nice indeed! +1 on the piles of "Hey, looks more like the game, awesome" and "Ooh, link back to the game, thank you". It's very pleasing to see that new and read/unread posts show up on a simple refresh or clicking link - no more ctrl-F5. Quote by: Count+SessineVery nice.
I do have one request -- for those of us stuck in Preferences Hell, could the difference between visited and non-visited links in the right-hand column of the main page please be made a lot more emphatic? It's the only clue we have to go by, when logged in. Seconded. Any chance that clicking these could take you to the end of the thread, or even the post they're previewing, instead of the start of the thread? I have obviously been spoilt on other forums where there's a "go to last unread" function.
Oh, and, while I'm suggesting daft things - how about, instead of the "there are no new stories to display" thing it displays if you're logged in, it automatically displays the last blog post, even if with a "this is not a new post" indicator?

We should change the 'Caution' road sign at the top of the page out for something equally silly.
This should also go for the Labs.
Like, say Squicky for the actual game, a SpiderKitty for the Enquirer, and a 'Beware of Time Distortions' sign for the Labs.
All silhouetted, of course.
While we're at it, give the 'train leather' skin up for newspaper print (red, rusty, or otherwise rustic) for the Enquirer and brass 'tube' machinery for the Labs.

Ooh, a newspaper background. And it seems to overlap the Next/Previous bit at the bottom. But that may be because I'm on a smaller screen.

The newspaper print is lovely! Such a nice touch. I love it!
(And I'm finding no overlap on my screen, so it may just be your screen size)

Can we have that right pane back?
Isn't sanity just a one-trick pony anyway? All you get is one trick: rational thinking.
But when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, the sky's the limit.

I like it! I LOVE the new newsprint background up at top and down at bottom.
There is only one thing that I find really bugs me right now and that is mouseover for footnotes in the wiki are unreadable.
They used to come with a little white box behind them so you could read them, but now it seems the box is clear and the text just overlays and you cannot read it unless you go all the way to the bottom and read them.
EDIT:
While this isn't a problem for the shorter pages, it makes the longer pages far more difficult in the end. Also, I just realized that I was complaining about having to go to the bottom of the page to read footnotes even though that's where they're technically supposed to be. Like in books, which I enjoy, often moreso when they have a few fun footnotes.

Ooch. Uh, think the background color of quote boxes could be set up to fit the theme a bit more?

Probably counts as waaay off topic, but ...
Sessine is clearly far more patient than I am. I am over it. (My account's been borked for over 12 months.)
Can my Enquirer account be deleted so I can re-recreate it from scratch? Or should I just create a new one as qwerty098765, or ... whatever?
Oh, and, as a non sequitor ... the new Enquirer format ... LOVE IT.

Try this:
My Account > Content > Show & hide boxes > (check all)
(and maybe save? I don't remember if I had to save.)
See if that helps?
