Just have some well-wishes for a few people here.

One of the people I know has been feeling very depressed lately, and hasn't been eating at all lately. I'm hoping she'll feel better soon and get something in her system. I can understand things are going somewhat badly for her, but hopefully some good-tidings will be just a wee bit helpful.

Another person I know is having surgery tomorrow on his toe. We've been talking often lately about feelings and all that, and he mentioned it to me. I hope everything goes well for him and he gets well very very soon. He doesn't deserve that kind of pain.

Sinna, I hope you're still alright, and managing to take your days carefully and without harm. It's nice to see your updates and how you're doing, and I think I can speak for all of us when I say it's great to see you whenever you do manage to spend some time with us.

Love you all very much. Be safe. Be well.

Bringing back this thread is never a good thing. It means someone is in a really bad situation, right now, and they could use some well-wishings for the small amount of moral support that we can offer.

Right now, Chimental is in the hospital.
He is a well-respected islander, a very nice and funny person, and my boyfriend.

And he could use your well-wishings.

This is a bit...hard to write out in text without just crying, so please forgive me if I get upset.

His father has informed me that he's currently in Intensive Care, heavily sedated, and on a breathing tube, due to pneumonia.
He also gave me a text number so I may keep in touch, so if I heard of any better news, I'll try to post a reply in here.

...Please wish him well.

Oh no, that's awful. Poor Harry! And poor you as well! Friends and family in the hospital - it is so frightening and horrible, even if you know what's going on, even if there isn't anything you can do to help. Do let me know if there's anything I can do for him or for you or anyone else panicking about this. E-hugs to all of you, and if he's in a fit state to hear it, please pass on my hope that he gets better as soon as possible, best wishes, Christmas greetings, etc.

Thanks Budd.

His father said he's in very small states of recovery, so far. I'm going to text his dad tomorrow. If I did tonight I might wake them up, and I don't want to be rude.

As far as I know, there is really nothing we can do, just hope that he starts feeling better.

Hopefully things will get better. Like I said, I'll put up a reply or something if/when he is.

...I really don't need anything!, everyone has their little problems.
I only posts these threads when I hear about someone else who could use the moral support! :c
Everyone can use it, just...sometimes someone needs a whole lot of it.
This crying with my current virus-cough is not helping.

A roundrobin get well card might be a nice thing to organize. I have Chim's mailing address (he done bought merch and all) and I'm happy to get a card and organize the list of folks it'd have to bunny hop through for signatures and doodles and whatnot. It'd go like this:

Z buys or makes card
People interested in participating email Z their addresses
Z organizes the list, tells person A to mail the card to person B when they receive it
Person B knows to forward it on to C, and so on
Person Y mails it back to Z, who sends it finally to Chim

If folks are keen, just drop a line to me at zolotisty@improbableisland.com.

Thanks Monkey.

Just sent & got back a text from his dad:
He says so far Chim's feeling....about the same. :\
The X-ray is slightly better, and the breathing tube and feeding tube are still in him, for at least a couple days.
Still sedated, so he's probably not in too much pain.

I told his dad a lot of Chim's friends were worried and hoping for the best, so he knows we're all wishing him well.
Hopefully the thought can help a bit.

Done.

I'm sorry to hear the news, Kim. :/ I don't know Chim very well, but I know what it's like to wait in those circumstances and it's . . . tough. Especially when it's so close to Christmas, oof.

I wish you, Chim and his family all the best. Hang in there, okay?

Thanks guys.

It's just a good thing his family is around when all this happened. Finals were...last week, I guess? He was very excited to get home and get back to the island over Christmas. :\

Thanks for all the support for him.

Card's gonna go into the mail very soon, but given that we're coming up on federal holidays, it'll be a bit before it's traveling.

KM, FWIW, unless Chim has other outstanding problems with his health that could complicate this, pneumonia's shitty and debilitating in the short term, but you shouldn't worry too much -- he will probably be fine.

I'm worried, but not losing my mind over it! Smile
My mum had it a few months ago, but not nearly as bad.

Ebenezer already sent a card, I'm probably going to send one out myself, too.
Besides that I've just been making stupid little doodles for him every day 'til he gets better. He likes that sorta thing, and I figured yanno, what the hell.

He'll probably end up getting his big card way later on, and then he's going to come into this form, and quote this sentence, and laugh at us. Razz

As for an update text for today; his pop said they're going to try to ween him off ventilation soon, either late today or tomorrow.

Hopefully he'll see all this love and go "holy smokes".

As I finish up my three hour shower, I would like to give my final rundown.

-I look like a were-hamster
-My feet have been replaced with water balloons
-I literally made my own Skronky Pot (Can I get a badge for that?)
-Am growing a second set of skin due to dehydration
-Am currently on at least 5 meds trying to grow my own ecosystem again (Hello, yogurt.)
-Spent at least 2 days in Intensive Care with literally only one IV and a bad heart monitor, because Primary Care was full.

But as God as my witness, I tap danced out of that hospital.
Wearing my custom made Chimental T-shirt Ferryn made me.
I felt ten feet tall.
Though that was probably the swelled feet.

Thank you all so much for the love and support. Love you all. And I hope I never appear on this thread again other than for support.

Good. [I've told you how happy I am already pretty much so I'm not going to do it HERE and waste space.]

Never come back to my thread again, Chim. Big Grin
At least in the case of you being ill. Razz
