"Shambling Maggie's" (New Pittsburgh).
-----
I was going to save this suggestion until I had another list of suggestions to post. . . but then I didn't come up with anything. And this idea would not go away. So here you go!

Since I've just *finally* managed to get a account on here, I gotta stick my oar in.
Here goes (sorry if these have been done before).
New Home: No Place Like Pub
Kittania: Kitty's Corner (I know, really? But I'm stumped)
Squat Hole: Innnit Grand? or The Plumbers Crack or The Poison Dwarf
New Pittsburgh: The Embalmers Arms
Plesantville: The Monsters Lament
Ace High: The Devils Brew or Royal Bluff
Cyber City: The Well Oiled Can

I really like St Nicholas' for an AH pub... it seems to fit. Although I think a tea room might be more appropriate (to echo some previous posts), if it's a pub, it should be Saint Nicholas'. Nick's, for short!
Also, Eb! That was your best name yet! I like Shambling Maggie's!

With 17 pages of suggestions, it makes me wonder how the names are gonna be chosen.
Either Emily is gonna pick seven names out of 400, which sounds like fun, by the way.
Or are we gonna have a poll for each outpost in the MotD? A new poll each day and we'll have new pubs in a week.

You had me confused a bit until I remembered that I set my preferences to display more posts per page, and wasn't missing nine pages of suggestions. Anyway, easy questions are my favorite! From the OP:
Quote by: EmilyDan and I will look over the entries, and in a week or so we'll determine the winners and award Supporter Points - 2500 points per winning pub name.

Wow... I show five pages. And I still think about changing to show more per page. ANYWAY. I have a new idea for NewHome.
"Have a drink, you'll need it." I can just see a big lit up sign in NewHome proclaiming that.
HAD's, for short!

...I really need to stop posting while half-asleep. I looked at the OP...twice...before posting.

Trust me, I would've made that longer. Would've added 'And then I make a wiki page longer than any great novel.' but it won't let my signature go past 'barnacles.' I'm saddened by this.

So, back to thread topic - how about a bar on the Failboat called "The Singing Barnacle?"
Thank you.

For once, Ashtu has a good idea. Who needs booze the most but the guys who got beaten up by a toaster?

Those who proceed to toast the one or other finger in the cages.
... seriously, I second the notion of this as "Good Idea".

Oh dear. So many fine pub possibilities....
I'm inclined toward names that each locale's denizens might find appealing, rather than those that reflect a human's perception of them.
Robots are a diverse group: some might prefer the Oil Cantina, some The Closed Circuit, some The Location Not Found.
Jokers might like returning to the familiar surroundings of their Likelihood Pub.
Mutants might be comfortable in The Superfluous Arms. (Hosting poetry slams every Tuesday...)
Midgets might gather in Tiny's Taproom (Tiny, of course, being an imposingly large fellow, nearly a dwarf.)
Most Kittymorphs would prefer the Creamy Whiskers, or perhaps the Kit Kat Kabaret (although a few would opt for Quicker Licker, not minding that it also attracts the Midget clientele....)
Spinal Tap absolutely rocks, but some Zombies might prefer The Nomskull, or the Brain Panjandrum.
Most Humans just can't resist checking out the newest Island arrivals at The Landing Strip.

Isn't the Landing Strip the name of the strip club close to the airport in every city? I know it is in mine.

Ah...humm, I hadn't thought about that *smacks head* But can robots even get runs, since they don't eat? Maybe they get the 'crudes' or such like
