Actually it's Wednesday now. Bloody hell.
Last week we fiddled around with a new race-around-the-world-map thingy, I finally dealt with / cleared out my Petitions inbox, Emily and I wrote some lovely new flavour text for the upcoming time/weather system, and right now I'm making some selection boxes to release over the holidays. After that, and hopefully tonight, I'm gonna look at giving Builders a few new reasons to smile.

Right, then. Selection boxes are done, and ready to be released. Hopefully that'll help me store up some nuts for the winter, 'cause the Island usually doesn't do too well financially from December 'til about March.
(you'd think people would want to stay indoors and spend more money on online games when it's cold outside, right? Aye, but people have better things to spend money on over Christmas, y'see... A big reason behind the Lodge gifting mechanic was to try to keep the Island afloat over the winter, and we'll have to see how these new gift packs help matters along)
Now, time for some Building love.

December's the time before the end of the semester when high schoolers start looking at their grades and going "...ohcrap." So tutoring is picking up, which means that I at least will have a bit extra in my pocket. I'm also not buying anyone a Christmas gift this year. I'm just going to bake everyone cookies. Hopefully that'll save some money too. /cheap
Looking forward to seeing the new developments!

You're a tutor, huh? What d'you teach?
(used to be a Pooter Tutor meself, although that was a very casual thing)
EDIT FOR BRITISH/AMERICAN LANGUAGE DIVIDE: Computer. Pooter (or 'puter) means Computer. Not an aspirator gun. And not your bumhole either.

Hundred-Point Rally now has a starting Jackpot Seed of 20 cigarettes.
Stonecutting, Logging, Carpentry, Masonry and Decorating are no longer affected by overloaded backpacks or bandoliers.
Secret Rooms now cost 100 Supporter Points each, down from 500.
Textareas for building descriptions are big enough to actually bloody type in.
Yup. 'tis a Builder's night.

If only I'd held off on chopping those 1070 logs...
Still, yay! These are very awesome changes.

CMJ, you have made me very happy.
And yea, even though I must go into work and be nice to my boss, I am smiling.
Thank you!

*brings in his close friend: a bottle of champagne*
*cracks it open in celebration, and without a second thought*
Time to celebrate via http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHC7WTFYHJM
I'll mourn Champagne later. He knew this day was to come.
All we bottled beverages await our Opening Day.
Tis a sad time indeed.

...I'm sorry, I know it's just a figure of speech and all, but... bahaha.
I'm still in school myself, so tutoring's just a side job for me. I can do anything, really--history, chem, bio, physics, English. I also do math--I just gloss over the fact that I've never pulled anything but a B in high school math. It's funny how desperate students miss these little details.

It is a good day. Thank you thank you thank you!

CMJ thanks so much for this - brilliant! 'Nuff said.
It's not an optical illusion. It just looks like one.

The Gifting Station now works properly, correctly removing one Supporter Point for each gift.
Also, you can now choose to tell the recipient who sent the gift.
Also, you don't have to pay to send Rail Cards. They're free to send.

Am I missing a button somewhere? I don't see the card-sending option.

EDIT: Never mind, I'm dumb. It's right there under the regular backpack stuff. I can't believe I didn't see that earlier. How odd.

No, you can't send Jokers - not right now, anyway. Sessine's working on Trains 1.1 and that may change.
