Not just Internet explore, Firefox for me too mate.

Then the problem targets specifically male contestants... I can understand why, but that's still discriminating.

Now now, maybe he's the 'ladies first' type; after the important women of the Island check the list, he would let us too.

But yeah, that's unamusing for us.

Has anyone tried it in Safari or Chrome? You might get it to work on either of those. I'm stuck using the Wii because Geek Squad's repairing my laptop, so I can't test it on either. I'm a browser collector. Got all the major ones for Windows.

Also, try using FF on a Linux system. It might or might not make a difference.

I've been in the same category as Paul and K.K., paste in the URL into a tab and it takes me to a login screen. Even though I'm in the game already in a different tab.
After I logged into the new tab's page, re-pasting the URL worked fine, so that might work for those people who can't seem to use it.

Oh, I'm using Windows XP and on Firefox.

Could it have something to do with the extra text that gets added after the module name in the URL? (same problem for me, timeout in Safari.)

Same problem here with getting the time out. Safari (4.02) running on Leopard (10.5.7).

Seems like the list doesn't like WebKit browsers. Have yet to test on Google Chrome. Someone should do that.

Firefox is webkit now? I thought they were using something more f/oss-y and gnu-ble with a GPL license, and that they didn't want to support Apple's efforts with wbekit because Apple is all proprietary and therefore evil.

Google Chrome and Safari use WebKit. FireFox uses Gecko.

Would it be because of how some browsers handle the URL itself?
The one Caveman Joe posted is http://improbableisland.com....
And I use http://www.improbableisland.com.

Seems that when I'm logged in and playing using the www.ii.com URL if I use http://improbableisland.com/runmodule.php?module=friends I'm not logged in, but if I add the www. part to the same url, it seems to work fine.

Does that make sense? Using http://www.improbableisland.com/runmodule.php?module=friends instead of http://improbableisland.com/runmodule.php?module=friends seems to make a difference on my machine.

Then why would you suggest that this is a webkit issue when other users are reporting the same problem with Firefox? I fail to see the logic.

You nailed it, omnesia! It's working now, when I prepend www. to the url. WTG! That was very helpful.
