More medal ideas:
- Too much money (req's) to know what to do with it (:100,000 plus)
- Rolling stone (has been on every mapblock.. :/ difficult implementation?)
- Master Carpenter (-- coupled to building skills/acheivements?)
- Honorary Failor (number of times on failboat?)
The hall of fame lists are pretty cool -- is there a way to link them to medals? (yeah, that might be a bit of work, that.. )

Let's add a thieving bastard medal for those @#$*! who keep stealing logs and stones from other people's construction yards!

As I've pointed out before, it is impossible in principle for the game to tell the difference between thieving bastards, and fine upstanding citizens who pick up logs or stones because they are working together with friends.

Easy problem, and a very easy solution!
Award every one a golden thieving bastard medal, whether they be rookies or not.
Once they hit logging and stone cutting level average of 10 it changes to silver. Once they hit 25 average, it becomes bronze. Once they peak past 50, it disappears.
No need to install any special flags or traps

That would make those who don't steal or claim they don't would feel bad until they get those levels. And those that do steal wouldn't like it since they're not getting rewarded for stealing.
Make it so it rewards it to people if their stone cutting or logging is half their carpentry or masonry skill for bronze. gathering skill is a third of the building skill for silver. And finally gathering skill is a fourth of the building skill for gold. And make it something like you can only get it after carpentry or masonry are over level 20 for bronze, 30 for silver and 40 for gold.
With this set up, you could create the complement where someone likes to gather and not build so they would get a gathering award to says they've helped their friends and given supplies to TMBs.

Not necessarily. There's a lot of dwellings which are being built as joint ventures with two or more people. It would make a lot of sense for one person to concentrate on resource gathering and the other to concentrate on construction, using materials supplied by the first person, and not filched at all.
Also, it's starting to get into unpleasent territory a little isn't it?

Well it's a tough spot to get into because there would be no EXACT way of knowing if your stealing or helping. The way I suggested may have some problems, it's better approach then other people's idea. Unless you were to make it so the server adds something to your account everytime you pick up a large pile of stones and/or logs and moves away from that square.
But that would slow the server down since it would mean one more thing it has to do.

There's really no way for the server to tell the difference between cooperation and thievery; tying the thief medal to gather/build ratios is an interesting idea, but since some teams have specialists (I cut, you join), the builders in those teams would get penalized for being efficient.
I would like to see more medals and more items added to the HoF (and some HoF lists expanded, such as most monster kills and quester, to encompass the whole population), but I don't think that a negative medal is the way to brand thieves. (Heck, you know there are people who would become thieves just to earn another medal.)
