Well, this thread is mostly about hammering out how I can accomplish this and who wants to be involved. The biggest problems, I think, is going to be getting the C&C's to work for everyone's Places. Maybe what I can do is get one of you program savvy people the appropriate key for the place so I can get help making everything jive. Basically I'll be willing to pay for everything and try to do the majority of the work it'd just be nice to have someone help me along with it.

As for people asking me if their places are suitable, everyone who wants to be involved is MORE than welcome to add ther place to the list!

Alright everyone, I've grabbed a spot on 12,12. It's one NW of IC. I figure it's the first step most people take when going to many of the other outposts. Here's the steps I see involved with getting this going:

1. Get everyone's clues. Start thinking of a creative and fun way to describe your Place to other people.
2. Make the memento. This is going to be what our hunters are going to need. When used it'll give out the clues. If there room I'll add the link to the list of places.
3. Make the C&C's for everyone to use for their programs in their Places and distribute them.
4. Everyone programs their Places for the Hunt.
5. Get a copy of everyone's mementos for the final program for the Scavenger Hunt ribbon (or whatever we decide to call it) and make the program. Or get the appropriate C&C's from people for the program. And make it.
6. ???
7. PROFIT! (or in other words go live)

Now I know it was mentioned getting your mementos back when people complete the Hunt. This is fine but if you guys want to do that then I'll have to make keys for everyone involved to collect their mementos themselves. Also, please don't offer your place if you aren't going to be able to always keep an eye on the scavenger hunt mementos in your place. If anyone's place runs out then the final program for the ribbon/trophy won't work.

I like the idea of being able to participate, myself. The one thing I was worried about was that someone will come up with a clue that makes no sense, so the whole thing will be unsolvable. But I suppose the participators will get stuck there and report it. So yeah, no docs required.
