These things are simply lovely, and I thank you kindly for them, Dan.
Also!
The server upgrades! Thank you kindly.
Any others need to offer any thanks?

-For putting the island together in the first place.
For the Chronospheres, and thus, not making me stay up until 4 Am anymore!
For all of the laughter you've brought into my life since I found a link to this website.
Some people see the glass as half full, some people see it as half empty, I just spit in the cup until it isn't a problem anymore.

-for bringing people countries away together.
-giving us a place to make new friends we never would have met any other way.
-for giving us an alternative to that damn history report. (I've done this 3...4...dozen times)
I make the many models of a mutant individual. To make them I use vegetables, animals, and minerals. From robot bugs to zombie bears to many singing barnacles.

All of the above plus
- Letting us midgets use coarse insults with joyous abandon.
- All the touches like the changing text in the Common Ground depending on the time of day, and the various bits of text that you get with the mounts. I still chuckle about driving the grandkids over the plains.
- Putting up with us all ranting on in the Enquirer forums.
- Chronospheres (again.)
- Providing a place where we can indulge our mad fantasies.
- Coming up with some quite interesting mechanics, the way Jokers work for example, which add real depth to the game. (As a game, and as a role playing environment.)
- Doing cool things like linking up with the screen saver/worthy cause thingummy.
- And and and and and and and and...
* can be heard in the distance going on for quite some time. *

Thanks, Dan, for
• keeping on and churning out good new code and content, even when we sound shrill and ungrateful
• being brave enough to make a go of this as your main livelihood
• being a level-headed, clever, and extremely sensible boss-man
• taking into consideration different factions of your players and trying to serve them equally
• having a strong sense for graphic design and aesthetics
• being conscious of accessibility -- the Island as screen-reader compatible, for instance
• being conscious of ways to mobilize the player base for greater good -- Spider's ladywife, BOINC, etc.
• your cleverness and humour
• your sense of internal continuity with respect to the Island's really quite rich world.. storytelling coming up will be very good folks, I know this..
• thinking in terms of and committing to the long-term
• knowing when to scoot away from the computer to take a tea or cigarette break or go smother your wife. You do know this this one, right?
• being so unusually communicative and responsive to player suggestions and input
• working such bloody mad hours (during international moves! during weddings!) without frequently reminding us of it
BARK BARK BARK.

By all means, it's a good thing to let Dan know his efforts are appreciated. Allow me to be Dan's mercinary for a moment and mention that Dan makes his living from this game -- you can't pay the bills with a kind thought.
If you appreciate Dan's hard work, a few bucks would be a lovely way to say 'thank you'.

For all of the above. And for finding a way to bring together some really strange, but really loveable people from all over the world.

Good lord, I don't even know what to say here. All the other points made here reflect my own sentiment.
Just want to say thanks for providing entertainment and putting up with me for two years.

For everything mentioned above, as well as;
-Putting up with me for three years.
-Providing me a place to willingly spend all of my free time
-Introducing me to countless numbers of people similar to myself, all across the globe.

Thanks for making a place where I can use my imagination and finally stop telling stories to myself.
I used to tell stories to myself when I was bored, I would play all the roles and do voices and such.
Now I can stop looking like a crazy and tell stories here!
Thanks for that.

Thank you.

Sorry Genevieve, you still look like a crazy, it's just that round here so does everyone else so that you don't stand out at all.
