OK ... so I'm failboated*, out of chronospheres and DP, and it's ages 'til new day. The thing is, I'm a bit bored with my other on-line pastimes.
So ... what else do you lot do on line?**
I'm afraid to say my own list is both short and boring. It consists of:
1. Web comics. (For most of these, go to the archives and start from the ... start. Especially #2.)
Dinosaur Comics*** http://www.qwantz.com/index.php
Alien Loves Predator http://alienlovespredator.com
Dilbert (oh look it up yourself)
2. On line Poker
I'm not going to name the site. This isn't meant to be commercial promotion!
3. Freerice http://www.freerice.com
This one is confirmed as a donor on the UN's web site.
4. Distributed Proofreaders http://www.pgdp.net
Volunteers helping to prepare public domain books for Project Gutenberg. http://www.gutenberg.org
So ... help me out. Where else do 'Islanders' have fun on the net?
D.
PS: Dan (or other Mod) I hope I haven't transgressed any forum etiquette by linking other sites here. If so please feel free to delete this post.
* Of course it's a real word. Pffft!
** A measure of decorum here please. At very least nothing illegal.
*** I was sooo chuffed when Dan notified us that Ryan North (author of Dinosaur Comics) was handling the donations. I first found Imp. Island through a link from Dinosaur Comics site.
The lunatics are taking over the asylum! Come with?

Yes, I have a dream, of electronic sheeps and linen bedsheets. But that's not the point. Or isn't it?

I only read two webcomics regularly - xkcd and Dresden Codak. I spend quite a bit of time on the xkcd message board.
Twitter.
Random food blogs, recipe sites, videojug, etc.
Currently reading:
- PHP 6 and MySQL 5 for Dynamic Web Sites: Visual QuickPro Guide by Larry Ullman
ISBN-10: 032152599X
ISBN-13: 978-0321525994
- The Electric Michelangelo by Sarah Hall
ISBN-10: 0060817240
ISBN-13: 978-0060817244
- Candide by Voltaire (Trans. Theo Cuffe)
ISBN-10: 0143039423
ISBN-13: 978-0143039426
- House of Leaves by Mark Danielewski
ISBN-10: 0375703764
ISBN-13: 978-0375703768
Aside from that, spending time with my wife, going to class, doing coursework, cooking, eating... We just got a shit-ton of snow, so I'll be doing some snowshoeing on the mountain when the weather clears up a bit. Wrong season for biking. I like splitting wood. I recently listened to the Penny Arcade/PvP D&D podcast on a long road trip. I play clarinet and saxophone sometimes.

Lessee...I check 1...2...260 webcomics (LIFE, WHAT LIFE?). I'll share some of the gems.
http://www.gpf-comics.com/ Geeky yet with general humor. Has a sentient slime too (No, not a lawyer).
http://lfgcomic.com/ A bit bloody, but hilarious none then less. You will fall in love with an undead warlock
http://www.sinfest.net/ It has religious humor, (WAIT!) but its also about life in general. Highly recommend.
http://drmcninja.com/ He's a doctor and a ninja. Need I say more?
http://www.johnnywander.com/ A comic about life. Funnier than you think. Buy their Lology shirts. Worth every penny. (Or pound or shilling or whatever.)
http://www.pvponline.com/ Gaming humor that's actually funny. Covers other topics too.
and finally one I recently came upon and I found a character that stole my mask. Mask stealer. Anyway, it's a bit dark and bloody, so skittish ones be warned. Here's http://pd.milkinthepantry.com/
I make the many models of a mutant individual. To make them I use vegetables, animals, and minerals. From robot bugs to zombie bears to many singing barnacles.
