I've noticed recently an upswing lately in the griping and complaining in the forums (so what else is new, you ask), to the extent that the infrequent praise and attaboys tend to get buried in the noise. So, I am taking it upon myself to start this NEW thread, to be used STRICTLY for thanking someone / anyone for anything / nothing at all. I think we all forget to do this too often.
Abusers of this thread will be summarily laughed and giggled at.
And I will start it off with the first thank you, originally posted by me in "filching of biulding supplies en masse"
Thank You!
Thank you.

*cough, cough*
*ahem*
Is everyone sitting down? If not, I'll give you a moment to do so..........
hmmmmmhmmmhmmhmmmm
Okay, ready?
Good.
er...um......Ashtu wishes to extend his humble and hearty thanks to whoever stopped by Ashtu's Anarchy Annex yesterday and - uh - added SEVENTY logs to the addition he hadn't even gotten properly started on yet.
Really.
Thank you.
That was awesome.
I go 'way now.
Thank you.

Excellent idea Ashtu.
So first of all, thank you Ashtu for starting this thread.
Second, the big one. Big shout out to CMJ for putting lots of hard work in and making this all possible.
Third. Big thanks to Zolotisty. I've often thought that we're really lucky having her as a mod. You know that if she's looking after something then it's in good hands. Well done all the mods come to that.
Also, lots of people doing their thing on the Island, making me giggle and helping to make it such a cool place to be.

*gets a sublimely mischievous look*
*takes a deeeeeeeeep breath*
YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE POSTED THIS IN BUGS.
*awaits pointing and giggling hopefully*
In other news, THANKS to ALL, for being entertaining, either on purpose or with your supremely terrible porn that I occasionally stumble across (seriously, some of those positions are so much more than IMPROBABLE, I know, I've TRIED
...LOCK THE DOOR NEXT TIME THAT'S WHAT KEYS ARE FOR.)
Thank you for being wacky and interesting and terrible and saying great things and planning great plots and drawing great things and making me laugh out loud damn near daily, every single one of you crazy crazy kids. YOU INSPIIIIIIIRE ME. Occasionally to some sort of ritualistic homicide, I'm not going to lie, but you know. I don't ACTUALLY kill anybody, so it's all good.
KEEP ON KEEPING ON. SHINE ON YOU CRAZY DIAMONDS. AND IF YOUR SHINE HAS TYPOS IN IT,
GREM, MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS! GREM LIKE THE WIND! (thank you CMJ)

Thank you CMJ for creating this amazing game! Somewhere where I'm not considered crazy, but average (the average was worked out including Skidge)!

Okay, so huge thank you to CMJ for an awesome game. Awesome coding and writing, the whole bit. And another thank you to him for stopping by in Kittania to chat with people last night/morning. That was great to be able to do that.
A thank you to all the friends on the island who do stuff with Xith and have fun with him. And a pre-emptive thanks to anyone who goes and reads my wiki entry "Of love and Hot tubs."
It's 95% fixed now, and totally readable. Edit: Oh, and if you did like reading about those scenes, send me a distraction in game! Extra thanks if you do that.
And a thanks to the mods who work hard to keep things running (And to Epaphus too, who doesn't)* and everyone who was helpful when I started out and let me join their scenes, etc., I've had great experiences all around.

*Just kidding Epaphus.

Thank you, CMJ, for giving me a place where I can let the creativeness flow, where I can meet and make friends, and the most fun I've ever had on a computer. (And for GREM, definitely for GREM)
Thank you mods, for keeping this fun place clean, from both spam and idiots. (ZOLO SMASH!)
And thank you Season one veterans for putting up with me in Season One while I got my characters and story together. Because, frankly, my S1 RP sucked. (And don't say I didn't suck in S1, you liar.)
I make the many models of a mutant individual. To make them I use vegetables, animals, and minerals. From robot bugs to zombie bears to many singing barnacles.

Quote by: SkidgeYOU SHOULDN'T HAVE POSTED THIS IN BUGS. um - well - yeah, I know - but by the time I realized it, it was, like, too late?
Maybe there's a helpful mod / admin out there somewhere who could, perhaps, move it to a proper forum?
Or is "proper forum" a contradiction in terms?
Although maybe it should stay here, since we're all kinda buggy........
Oh, and Thank You!
Thank you.

I have the best e-boss. I have the best clan. I am surrounded by extremely talented, clever, and compassionate folk who invariably make the computer-centric portions of my day much, much more entertaining than they would otherwise be. I have the good fortune to work with players who are frequently willing to problem solve like adults when there's some sort of conflict. And, importantly, I have the ability to move threads.

Thank you for the excellent advertising and front page that brought me into your world. I believe the banner went something like:
Improbable Island! We have:
- blah blah blah
- blah blah blah
- blah blah blah
- Adorable catgirls
- blah blah blah
- blah blah blah
Ok that wasn't exactly it, but... yeah. *click*
Oh, hmm, this is just a text game. (An odd reaction from someone who was on a huge MUD kick not 5 years ago, but that's human nature for you.)
A picture of a dude with a rabbit on his head, and... "How did I end up here?" Well that seems like a properly philosophical question. I guess I could read more...
The writing style had me hooked by the end of the first few paragraphs. What was my name? Well normally I'd put in one of my internet aliases, but there was something, I dunno, more real about this. So Devin it was.
Thank you for the two rules.
Thank you to all the people whose antics in NewHome showed me that you can be anything you want here and, as long as you don't take yourself too seriously, other people will accept it.
Thank you for the Rookie Advisory and the role-playing guides.
Thank you to sugar-hi unicorn, whose idle musings showed me that a marble can be much more than a little round ball of glass.
Thank you to Katt, Kolojang, and friends for playing out a story that had me on the edge of my seat at times.
Thank you to Devon for not killing me for stealing your name. I swear I didn't know.
Thank you for timed combat, which makes jungle fights infinitely more interesting.
Thank you for taking away all my experience and money after every drive kill. Failboating just doesn't seem so bad when those resources are so ephemeral anyway.
Thank you for Labs. I hope to be able to contribute something useful back to the game, besides the couple of bucks I've spared in donations and a few referrals.
Thank you for the mental image of a six foot tall, cartoon-purple furred cat person, wearing nothing but a ridiculous grin and a pair of neon green tennis shoes, wielding a rusty chainsaw, riding into battle on a hybrid abomination of a giant house cat and a motorcycle. Trying to actually imagine what my character looks like in his gear is probably the most truly epic moment I've had in any game, ever.
And so much more, but that's all I had at the top of my head, and quite enough out of me for now I think. Now that the mushy stuff is out of the way, I'm going back to running around naked eating insurance salesmen and dismembering lunch ladies. Wait, one more.
Thank you, all of you, for being all of you. I think that pretty much covers it.

I'd like to say thank you as well.
Thank you for taking a paragraph-snob and showing her that there can still be good RP found in bites of two hundred characters or less when she thought that good writing needs at least two hundred words so it can have adequate room for description.
Thank you for the ridiculous, weird, and just plain silly.
Thank you for the bad, frustrating moments, because the let the good, awesome moments shine through even better, and that's what I'm really thankful for.
Thank you for houses and friends and chances for character development that you just don't get in forum PbP RP, and for bed and butchery and the fact that even if any Joker day or particular DK is from the depths of hell itself, it always ends and things get better.

I just looked at the donations meter.
In the less-than-24-hours after the Emily Bundle going live, we've raised more money than I sometimes make in a whole month.
Thank you, everyone.
