*waves* Hey everyone! As Dan mentioned in an earlier development thread, I'm working on writing some new pub descriptions. I thought we should do a little contest for the names, and give folks the opportunity to earn some extra Supporter Points.

There's eventually going to be a pub for every Outpost on the Island, which should reflect the spirit of the locale. Improbable Central already has The Prancing SpiderKitty, so we're soliciting names for 7 additional pubs in the following areas:

Squat Hole
Kittania
Cyber City 404
Ace High
NewHome
Pleasantville
New Pittsburgh

Please post to this thread, as many times as you'd like, your ideas for pub names. Do let us know to which area the name your suggestion belongs, as well. You can use the format "Pub Name" (City). For example - "Den of Squalor" (Squat Hole).

Dan and I will look over the entries, and in a week or so we'll determine the winners and award Supporter Points - 2500 points per winning pub name.

Well I've already mentioned "The Fag and Fist" (Squat Hole), but as Teh Dave has pointed out, this has somewhat different connotations in American than it does in British, rendering it possibly less suitable.

No names to add really... but "The Spinal Tap" is very clever, Alik.

Have to agree, I do like "Spinal Tap". Not sure about "The Drowned Cat" or "The Soggy Whiskers" those names wouldn't appeal to kittymorphs themselves I wouldn't have thought. That's why I refrained from "The Fist And Fuckwit" for Squat Hole.
I quite like "Safe Haven" for NewHome as well.
The rest are the obvious ones, as you say.
"The Ball of Wool" (Kittiania) is pretty obvious as well. But someone had to say it.
Something suitably 'poetic' for P.Ville I would suggest, but I can't think what.
