I've posted this in two places now (in varying degrees of thoroughness) but I wanted to give it its own thread because I'd really like to see this implemented.
Before SWEET maxed out its clan buffs, we had clan contests every now and then to encourage members to donate cigs. The only way to keep track of who donated ciggies, though, was to ask the members to be honest and tell whoever was hosting the contest the number of ciggies that they donated. I think this worked out okay (I certainly don't think anyone cheated) but I'd really like to see the ability to host clan contests augmented.
After SWEET maxed out our buffs, there was nothing left to host contests for, until the political offices came into existence. Now, we could ask members to keep track of how much money they donated, but that seems like it would be more trouble than it's worth. I'd like to see a way for those number to be tracked so the clan officers/leaders can look at a list and find out who donated the most (or at all) during a set period of time and award a prize.
I'd also like for clans to be able to track other things as well, such as Real Money Donations (I think I would make this a regular contest), number of Drive Kills, Quester Points, Scavenger Points, and even Improbable items, to be able to use them for contests.
I think this would increase clan participation, and would keep people coming back to the game. And if people preferred anonymity, maybe there could be a preference to opt out of being tracked for clan contests, but that wouldn't be as fun...
Any thoughts?
