Would it be possible to ever have contraptions for showing or hiding filled Slots?

For example, a program in a room that shows a bed that only midgets can sleep in (slot with custom furniture), while to anyone else, they can only look because it's too small or too gross for them (page).

Or, as another example: a simple way to show ultra-comfy awesome beds for frequent visitors (via a Memory) without building a whole other room for them.

I believe something like this was asked for back in the Suggest A Contrivance/Contraption thread. It would probably be a Hide Slot contraption, I guess? And therefore logically an Unhide Slot one too? Or were you thinking a whole new mechanism?

I third (or n+1, where n=Skronkys) this suggestion. It could be fun.

Ah, you're right! I did a search for "slot" specifically, not realizing I should have also looked for "sleep spot." Calliaphone asked to hide all the sleep spots, though, while I only want to hide specific ones. That way with the escape hatch I can show something else (like a page or even other sleep spots).

Okay, this gave me an interesting idea for my place:

Hiding hospital beds when your character is at full health and/or is a robot.

Because, really, when you're not hurt, you don't need to be lying in a hospital bed.

On that note... A kick from slot contraption would be nice--in this case, it would be coupled with a show page contraption to show the medical staff pushing you out of the bed as soon as you're healed. Well, if that's even possible to do, heh.

Or perhaps it would be used for reserving private beds, with the person reserving them getting a password to kick them out with.

Still, that contraption fits handily enough into this topic.
