Ok, so I'm not the person who originally thought of this, but I did just recently hear a new song that I imagine would fit Xith perfectly and I could imagine playing during like, scenes of his greatest moments on TV and stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLGoeYOZ0Qs&feature=related It's called "Weatherman", by Dead Sara

Now, in reality I guess the song is about some political stuff that neither I nor my character have ever cared too much about but if you ignore that, alot of what it says kinda fits my zombie meteorologist, since he built the Island's only weather station (though due to my lack of playing it's not as awesome as it could be) and has, y'know leathery skin. Plus the chorus says go for the kill which would be like, I guess when he jumps on people to devour carcasses and stuff.

Anyways... If your character had a theme song or some sorta background thing that viewers of II saw when he/she/it was featured, what would that be?

http://enquirer.improbableisland.com/forum/viewtopic.php?showtopic=14271&mode=&show=20 <--- original thread, from a long time ago. I remembered it from way back when, but decided to start a new one since there are a lot of (relatively) newer people here nowadays.

Edit: Also http://enquirer.improbableisland.com/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=xith&#his_past = If you're curious why it would fit so well.

Razz

Speaking ofwich, Micha, I need to re-pick Harris':

"Someday", No More Kings

Then, of course, there's Hazel:

"Dead", They Might Be Giants
It is damnably hard to find slow, thoughtful music about thoroughly disliked people.

And lastly, Auntie Septic:

"She's My Gal", Tom Lehrer

"Ain't nothin' left to do but smile, smile, smile." -The Grateful Dead

I think this one is good for Skidge + Aloicious: Stubborn Love

As far as Micha goes, today I think it's this one , but tomorrow she could be something completely different.

Terra's Theme - Piano for Sol. I like the piece because it's just simply beautiful. It's a bit uplifting, as well as hesitant, for a character...but seems like it's hopeful, that things'll be better. And it just has this magic to it! Awesome stuff. =3

Yeah, there ain't no rest for the wiiicked...

Hmm... what was the last song you listened to from the thirties? That was used as a theme song for a character on a TV show?

Based on that question, and assuming that the Network doesn't have an "obscure turn-of-the-twenty-first-century music" motif, (which it might well have) and not at all to cover up my lack of musical taste, I'm going to guess that Full Metal Lion has a song from the 2080's. Maybe even an original composition. Ooo... and Full Metal Lion the Elder (FML from the future (but stranded in the past (by choice))) probably has a complimentary theme song featuring a violin, but it starts with the end of FML's theme, then makes a tape-recorder rewind sound, and then starts the song proper. Yes... except when FML is a zombie, which is when "Just Zombeing Myself" becomes his theme song. And around other special events, when the theme is changed slightly to reflect the event. Like adding jingle bells around Christmas. And, of course, each Outpost gets its own establishing-shot theme.

(Another guess: When appropriate, all Contestants have their shows filled with music from the music page.)

Point of order: that's the theme song of the show "Top of the Heap", not a character on a TV show.

You have to get up pretty early in the morning to out-smartass ol' Full Metal Lion...

Isn't sanity just a one-trick pony anyway? All you get is one trick: rational thinking. But when you're good and crazy, oooh, oooh, the sky's the limit.
