Simple suggestion: After your first DK, you can take your next DK in "hardcore mode." In hardcore mode, if you go down in combat, you lose your weapon, armor, and Req, and are reset to level 1. You can still get failboated by Stonehenge, broth, and spring water. If you get defeated by your Master, you also get failboated.

I really think that doesn't add any difficulty at all. People can already get a one-day zero-equipment drivekill in any rank! Avoid fake difficulty and add real difficulty.
There are two secrets to success. The second one is to never reveal all your secrets.

I propose a more self-patrolled version of this: Never use the bank. For bragging rights!
This not to be confused with the self-patrolled "HARDCORE!" mode, where, if you lose a fight, you delete your character.
