There are only 4 rules. Easy to remember, terrible for OCD. Could a 5th rule be added, like "pants must be worn in Julia's Midget Massage" or something, just to even it out?

If there had to be a 5th rule, I think "Sexual roleplaying must be done in a Place with the door locked" or something of the like would be useful.

You want a fifth rule, because for you 5 just feels more complete than 4? Let's see.

...

Idea !

How's this:

5. Have fun!

CMJ says that quite often, and so do the mods -- so that comes pretty close to making it a rule, right?

Eh, that's part of Rule One, mate. As we've been interpreting it for years, Rule One really means remember there are other players besides you here, so be considerate and don't do stuff that'll interfere with them having fun. If we had to list off all the ways people could forget that and cause problems, we'd have to write a whole legal code, and nobody wants that in a game.

YOU ARE IN ERROR. NO ONE IS SCREAMING. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION. The Computer is happy. The Computer is crazy. The Computer will help you become happy. This will drive you crazy. Being a citizen of Alpha Complex is fun. The Computer says so, and The Computer is your friend. Many traitors threaten Alpha Complex. Many happy citizens live in Alpha Complex. Most happy citizens are crazy. Which are more dangerous, traitors or happy citizens? Rooting out traitors will make you happy. The Computer tells you so. If you are not happy, The Computer will use you as reactor shielding. Being a Troubleshooter is fun. The Computer tells you so. Do you doubt The Computer, citizen? Troubleshooters get shot at, stabbed, mangled, incinerated, poisoned, stapled, blown to bits and accidentally executed. This is so much fun many Troubleshooters go crazy. You work with many Troubleshooters. They all carry lasers. Aren't you glad you have a laser too? Won't this be fun? Stay alert! Trust no one! Keep your laser handy!

You can't have five rules. Then it'd be an odd number, and odd numbers are awful.

WE NEVER SET THE VOLUME ON THE AMP TO AN ODD NUMBER. EVER.

You mean your amp doesn't go up to eleven?

What about 10 rules then? Still divisible by 5 (makes me happy) and by 2 (makes you happy). 5-10 can just be banning people from being random body parts. Don't be a boob. Don't be a toenail. Don't set the amplifier to an odd number while being a freckle.

And here I thought we were past all this disgusting partism. Toenails have rights too, you know! They've fought for them too long and too hard, persevered through all the clippings and the filings and getting rammed into the chair leg in the middle of the night to be told that they aren't welcome here. I will not stand for it, good sir!

You won't be standing for it after we grant your toenails liberty, you dirty slavedriver.

It is not slavery, it is indentured servitude. They protect the tops of my toes and scratch my legs when I wish them in exchange for them being able to live on my toes. Any clipping or filing is completely up to them.

What's wrong with four? Five is four and four is cosmic. So adding another rule would really be changing nothing.

But then... six is three... But three is five... and as I said before, five is four... so clearly, four is the right number...

What do you get when a dragon sneezes? Out of the way.
