So one of the friends I introduced to the game a while back mentioned that it was weird to have fruit trees on the Pages section... If they didn't do anything. "Literal flavor text, makes things nice, but if there's not a lot of knobs to press besides the programs that make it seem like something happened.. Then why make them?"
Which led me to an idea. What if there was like an item you could put in places, that affected the player's stats in some way? Maybe like a teeny fridge that could be decorated, and when someone used it, they'd get some type of health benefit or something. Items that could be changed for what they look like, used in a room and act like a page, but affect teh stats of a player somehow( taking away req for buying a soda from some type of Soda Machine, for example). Might not be too popular of an idea, but thought I'd put it out there if it's not already. And if it is, My bad.

As much fun as that would be to play around with, the biggest problem would be the "unfairness" and the ease of farming something like this, I think.
HOWEVER, you could totally make something like this using super complex programs and memories. I believe Dirk did something along the lines of a stats page with... what's it called? Rocknasty?

Yeah I can, and have, but that doesn't mean I'd know how to code it. As for unfairness, wouldn't just allowing a timer on it make things easier? You did this, can't do it for Xhours Xminutes. Like how you can't fight at teh dojo if you lose, until a new day happens. Even easier, just make it so they could wait until the new day, but it wipes out the buff either before that or at new day.
