Improbable Island should be available over HTTPS. Come on, it's 2017! We have Let's Encrypt and things. There's no reason not to, at this point.

There are MANY reasons not to, but they're all dumb, and I'm sorting them out now. We'll be doing a server migration in the upcoming weeks, and yes, we'll have HTTPS support.

Oh boy!

On the other hand

• it's still impossible to visit the Enquirer in https (it just goes to an IFixCoinOps error message if you ignore the security warnings)
  
• you can get this same error message if you go to https://mail.improbableisland.com and ignore the security warnings, which I tried despite the fact that the subdomain trick stopped working for mail.improbableisland.com long ago while I was composing this message this error was fixed, and also the subdomain trick started working for mail.improbableisland.com again, which is nice. Still can't use https on mail.improbableisland.com
  
• editing the wiki is now broken
  
• the links in the Hunter's Lodge are now technically wrong
  
• the giftpoints link is also completely broken; http://www.improbableisland.com/runmodule.php?module=giftpoints&acctid=118161 leads to the log-in page or badnavs
  
• the giftpoints link is gone from character bios
  
• the External Link/Player's webpage is gone from character bios. Entering a new url fixes this, but I am led to believe you must enter a string that begins with "http://", which is inconvenient.
  
• maybe it's unrelated but I can no longer get to www.improbableisland.com/themetest/home.php, legacy.improbableisland.com, www.improbableisland.com/legacy/home.php, or www.improbableisland.com/placesbeta/home.php
