This site has had threads about novels, music and recipes. Now it's my turn. Here's a list of some of my favorite movies (yes, it's rather long. I am a movie buff, and couldn't cut any of these). You're opinions and favorite movies? Suggestions?

Horror:
The Ring—The Thing—28 Days Later—Silent Hill—Masters of Horror: Cigarette Burns—Hellraiser—Candyman—The Hills Have Eyes (remake)—The Mist—The Blair Witch Project—The Descent—28 Days Later—High Tension—Saw—Final Destination

Action:
16 Blocks—Batman Begins—The Dark Knight—Sin City—Minority Report—Collateral—Man on Fire—We Were Soldiers—Saving Private Ryan—V for Vendetta—300—Pulp Fiction—The Fifth Element—Equilibrium—Iron Man—Hard Boiled—Die Hard—The Bourne Identity

Comedy:
Shaun of the Dead—Clue—Evil Dead series (failed horror turned comedy)—Bubba Ho-Tep—Wayne’s World—The Graduate—South Park: The Movie—Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie—Waiting—The 40-Year-Old Virgin—Anchorman—The Big Lebowski—Death to Smoochy—Office Space—Dogma—Hot Fuzz—Johnny Dangerously—Monty Python and the Holy Grail—Night at the Roxbury—Severance (horror comedy)—UHF—Happy Gilmore—The Wedding Singer—Shrek—Forgetting Sarah Marshall—Empire Records—The Naked Gun—Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (couldn’t think where else to put it)

Drama:
12 Angry Men—Let the Right One In—American History X—Casino—Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind—Citizen Kane—Gangs of New York—Legends of the Fall—Pride and Glory—Seven Pounds—Unbreakable—Donnie Darko—Requiem for a Dream—Amadeus—Scarface—Platoon—There Will be Blood—The Butterfly Effect—Oldboy—Mr. Brooks—Forbidden Planet—I, Robot—Reservoir Dogs—Memento—Million Dollar Baby

Sci-Fi/Fantasy:
Alien—Aliens—Alien 3—Original Star Wars Trilogy—Titan A.E.—Pan’s Labyrinth—Akira—Lucky #Slevin

Despite the way it looks, Horror is my favorite genre. It's just that it's very hard to find good horror movies.

Ehh, I like alot of movies, but I'll just list them off.
These are in by no means in any order.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Jurassic Park, the first two Spidermans, Kill Bill [both], the Cowboy Bebop movie, the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie [the second and third just kinda...meh], Jaws, the first three Indiana Jones', some of the original Batman movies, Oh Brother Where Art Thou, Night at the Museum [it's cute. Correction: the dinosaur is cute.], and, don't freak out when I say this; I like the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Mostly for it's music, but it's got funny parts.

There's a few Gorbert already mentioned: The Mist, Saw, The Dark Knight, Saving Private Ryan, Wayne’s World, South Park: Bigger-Longer-Uncut, Dogma, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Shrek, and Original Star Wars Trilogy.

I'd say the Hitchhiker's movie, because it was the first time I ever even heard of the books. However, I'm not saying it, because you'd all tear my head off. And I'd need it for finishing commissions.

I like some other ones, but they're mostly used for background noise while I'm busy. Jon knows what I'm talking about when I say that. Razz

I quite enjoyed the new Star Trek movie, as well as all the Star Wars films, even the prequels. I have a taste for extremely violent action movies for some strange reason.

Personally, anything in black and white is great stuff.

Unfortunately, it's rather difficult to find any around here to rent. Add that I don't have a television, and I watch maybe ten movies a year.

Watchmen was good, though.
